Your Advice to First Lady Is Needless, PDPPCO Tells Buhari’s Wife

The Peoples D e m o c r a t i c Party Presiden­tial Campaign Organisation (PDP­PCO) has dismissed as needless the assur­ance of wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential can­didate, Aisha Buhari, to the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan that she (First Lady) would not be sent to jail if her husband, General Mu­hammadu Buhari, wins the coming presiden­tial election.

Director of Media and Publicity of the PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, in a statement issued yes­terday in Abuja in response to Aisha Buhari’s attack on the First Lady in Benin, said the entire PDP presi­dential campaign did not appreciate her counsel be­cause the First Lady had not committed any offence.

According to Fani-Kay­ode, “We take note of what Hajia Aisha Buhari has said. But we don’t appre­ciate her counsel and nei­ther do we need any advice from her because the First Lady, Dame Patience Jona­than, has not done anything wrong.

“What we can tell her for now is that she should keep enjoying the lime­light that she is presently enjoying which is alien to her. This is because within a few days, post March 28 presidential election, she will go back to where she came from and, once again, she will be confined to the kitchen and will be made to do some sort of things that Buhari believes wom­en should do.”
