How Will Your Day be
Greetings of the new day to all my friends and thank God for His mercies upon us that saw us to the land of the living this new day.
It is a new day and the commencement of the new Christian week being the first day of the week.
It is a Sunday
Ordinarily Christians are expected to go to Church today to sing and dance to the glory of the Lord and to fellowship with other believers who daily celebrate the resurrection of the Living Christ.
However the ability to do this - that is go to Church - is largely dependent on the state in which the Christian is; some persons would have gone out last night on the Saturday Night Fever program and came back early this morning and so would need to catch up on sleep against tomorrow's work and this would surely make it difficult for them to go to Church this morning.
Some others might have the reasons of low finances to keep away from Church because they don't have the money for offering
Some others might say that they have no fine clothes to wear and go to Church as most Church services these days have turned to fashion parade where men and women compete on who would be the killer dresser in the congregation and people come to Church not necessarily to hear the Word of God but to compare what they wore with what their closest neightbour wore and then judge if they are doing better or not.
Well, whichever category you fall in and whatever your reason maybe, Church going is an act of worship and we do not worship that which we see, we worship Him Whom we do not see but Whose Words are Yea and Amen.
If you mind men, you would never worship God because at every point in time, there would always be men and so many of them who are doing far better than you are no matter how well you are doing.
God gave you this day as a gift and what you do with it is your own gift back to Him
Wouldn't you rather bring Him wholesome gifts?
Use today well, if you are unable to go to Church Service, then go to Hospital Visitation or Prison Visitation or even visiting the Orphanages - these activities are all acts of worship.
