The Secret Of Success In Business And Life
Just listen to this brief
story about Mani
He got employed 3 years after graduation after writing so many applications and submitting so many CVs but the job did not pay well since it was not a graduate's job, he just picked up in order to kill boredom and frustration that were coming from not doing anything at home.
Every day he would tell himself that it was not his dream job yet he lacked the initiative to either go in search of that dream job or create one for himself.
He spent 8 years on that job that he hated and then one day, he goofed and the job owner did not hesitate to sack him without notice - just a month's pay in lieu of notice.
Mani swore never to work
for anyone else but himself but then he did not have the capital to start up a
business.
One good day, one of his friends talked him into attending a Business Opportunity Presentation Meeting which was being held to introduce a new business opportunity in town. After the presentation, Mani's friend was convinced that it was what they needed to break out of the rank of jobless people but Mani felt otherwise; however because his friend liked it, he also pretended to like it and so they both signed up for the opportunity.
But Mani would do nothing - he would not attend meetings, he would not discuss his business with any other person, he would not share the flyers, he would not invite people to presentations and all these things were being done by his friend. In a year's time, Mani's friend had rank-advanced and won an award of a car from the Company.
Mani felt cheated and that his friend used him to climb the ropes. So because of that, he quit the business.
Afterward, another opportunity came along and he decided that it was his own time. Mani signed up but again was lackadaisical about promoting the business and inviting people to the presentations. After one year as those that he joined with were being honoured by the Company, he again could not be honoured. Meanwhile, his friend from the first opportunity had so advanced in 2 years that he had been recognized as the Regional Supervisor by the Company.
What was Mani's problem?
The secret to success in business and other life pursuits is to key into a system or program and stay there to build it irrespective of the weather and circumstances surrounding it.
Stay there, commit to it, never give up on it until you succeed
Do you really want success? Do you really want to change your life? If so, you need to develop the staying power, the strength of character, and commitment expected and these will surely change your life.
Mani also lacked the proper motivation to hold on to a cause for long.
ReplyDeleteProper motivation can only come from the creator of man.
Interestingly, the Creator has given us a manual that offers the recipe for every success in Life.
The recipe can be found in the Bible book of Psalms 1:1-3.
True words
DeleteLife is an unending School
Mani was too lazy, he passes for a child that grew up being given everything he wanted by his parents. He never developed any skills and worst of all, he had no hobbies which he could've tapped from. Mani had the feeling of being entitled to everything and anything and as such expected that his friend (who made it in the first business) should have helped or assisted him (while carrying out his own business). His laziness did not allow him to see opportunities.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Mani simply refused to take care of his business because he instinctively did not believe that they would work for him. That's why our failures or successes are the products of our mindsets. A positive mindset would always bring forth a positive result ditto for a negative mindset
